Dry Needling
A specialized treatment performed by a certified physical therapist to reduce muscle tension, pain, headaches, dizziness by placing needles into specific muscles and tissues. Dry needling can stimulate the release of endorphins (the body’s natural pain killer), enhance blood flow, and provide autonomic nervous system homeostasis to enhance the bodies ability to heal pathological tissue. Dry needling is different from Acupuncture.

A motor vehicle accident can be a life changing event and can become a cause of severe pain for an otherwise healthy individual. At Inspire, we use various treatment techniques to desensitize the nervous system and retrain the body to perform all activities you were able to perform before your accident.

TMJ Physical Therapy
Temporomandibular disorder (TMD), is a term that describes an entire group of disorders involving the temporomandibular joint or joints (TMJ). The TMJs are the jaw joints. There is one on each side of your head just in front of your ear canals. One or more of the above tissues can cause symptoms.
Since physical therapists treat muscle and joint problems, they are ideally suited to address a TMD. Moreover, a majority of patients diagnosed with TMD, also have associated neck pain. Both respond well to treatment provided by a physical therapist. No other healthcare practitioner is better suited to address both the TMD and neck pain.
